Ledge Point - 9th May , 2022

The most important note today is that it is our eldest grandsons birthday.Happy birthday Adam hope you had a great day. Seventeen today gosh that really makes me feel old. Viv McGuire and I were e mailing today and she said “17…” That lovely little boy who played with our Lego at Snells.
Well we have finally  got away today in the motorhome. Terry our host dropped us off at 9.00am. We did all the paper work then we were on our way. We had a nice surprise at checkin to be told that we had one of their newest vans. It has only done 18,000 kms. very flash. It’s a Mercedes’ which Peter had asked for as we had so much trouble with the fiat we had when we did Queensland. I think we have to thank Belinda/Ange the Australian travel agent that we have been dealing with organising everything for us. Her company is called Gallivanting Oz. We particularly asked for a Mercedes and the newest model due to the problems we had in Queensland. Thanks so much to you both.  We drove north 131kms to Ledge Point Park Holiday Park on the coast.  Really nice tidy park just ideal to have somewhere to set up the van. On our way we had stopped at Coles Supermarket to stock up on supplies. So a lot of unpacking groceries, clothes, making up the bed etc. Exhausted so we will start our holiday tomorrow. Heading further north to a place called Port Denison for one night.

Here’s our beauty goes really well.

Got the bed made up. This area is usually a sitting area during the day with seats around a table. Forgot to take a photo before we changed it. We will leave the bed made up during the day as you will see below we also have a dining area nearer the front.

Closed down for the night with all the blinds shut.

Standing in the cab looking to the back. As you can see plenty of room in the dining area. Kitchen on right and toilet and shower on left behind dining seat.

Cooking dinner looking towards the front.

Looking down into the cab also a walk through area through to the back.

We had been working hard with the big sort out so we decided to walk down to the beach for some fresh air. We are now looking over the Indian Ocean. Unusual formations on the beach.

Looking back along to the other end of the beach.

We cooked our first meal in the motorhome and all sorted now to face our next adventure tomorrow.

😎
